Which parks need a reservation to get in
NPS decides this park by park, every year. This is a dated snapshot, not live availability. Entrance passes, timed entry and activity permits are different requirements.
Check these separately
- Entrance pass: pays eligible entrance fees.
- Timed entry or road access: may reserve a particular arrival window or part of a park.
- Activity permits and bookings: hiking permits, shuttles, camping and tours have their own requirements.
A missing entry below does not mean no booking is needed. Start with the official page for your park, your dates and the activities you want to do. NPS trip planning guidance.
